Great pics! Last sorority set up I had was also in a 55g about 4 years ago. Starting to get the itch again & your lovely pics aren't helping. *blech*

yes. it was their first week in the tank and they were still establishing the pecking order. They are all doing great right now except for the girl on the lowest rung on the ladder. She still gets a few nips once in a while.

I posted this picture in the planted tank forum but, since it's a community tank, I'll post it here as well.
It's 90 gals, and hosts 10 red turquoise discus, 20 or so dwarf cories, 10 paleatus cories, 5 otos, 6 glowlight and 4 lemon tetras, one flash pleco and two gold nugget plecos. There's also a lone male German ram.

Okay, here is the idea...

Four pvc pipes with Java Moss growing up them.  They go above the water line and the Java Moss is not attached to the PVC about 7 inches from the top of the PVC so it can free-float without being exposed to the hot dry air.

if you cut some holes on the sides of the pipes, it would make good hiding spots, AND it would look cool

That a very interesting idea. I'm usually thinking horizontal when it comes to pvc & java moss. Thanks for showing that.

Edmund, I love that setup.

Here is the last community tank I had set up.. 20G long: breeding colony of Skiffia multipunctata (goodeids) and two young long-finned albino bristlenose plecs. It had two or three pieces of slate, the flower pot, and a few random spots ofk java moss.

I think the image quality got worse after transferring it from an old computer? Sad shrug
