i have went to my home post office and the only this it says about checking your package is...if it contains cds, or audio merchandise they must check it.  i also read in their code book its is illegal for them not to accept a package if it is in that book as being legal to ship. i had a postman tell me that he was not gonna accept my box because i had plants in it and when i asked to see the code book not only did he look stupid but he also had to accept my package w/o opening it.

Hmm not sure if this is the place to post this, so if it must be moved let me know.  But now the post office is having flat rate boxes.  Priority mail boxes the size of shoe boxes for 7.70,  will be nice this summer with shipping some fish and merchandise.  Imagine how much weight you can get in those.

A tip for making sure the bar codes on recycled boxes can't be read.. use a black marker and mark vertically down the center..  then no scanner can read it.  If you go horizontally, it can still read it, and if you scribble, you might miss something and it could still read it.

hmm. think only USPS uses the bar codes on the boxes for theyre inventory purposes. theyve never used those for the actual shipments, they scan the labels for those

Ok now what about sending fish using these labels and stuff from the USA across the boarder to Canada? Is it as easy as just sending it or are their other complications?
