How did you find out about us?

Tell us how you found out about us, we would love to know..   Was it a search?  Word of mouth?

Since nobody's responding, I will, but truthfully I don't remember. I think it was a google search and the a little lurking as I "checked out the water".  :hihi:

I found it through Aquarank, doesn't exist now. I was hoping to figure out how newbies found us, so we might be able to make it easier for others.

Back when I knew nothing about fish I followed the advice of a store employee and ended up with 4 danio's in an unheated, uncycled 2.5 gallon tank (it did have a filter at least).  Then a co-worker decided to surprise me with the gift of 2 platies.  As you can imagine things quickly went from bad to worse...  I literally searched "pet fish help" and guess what came up?  I've been here ever since.

I was searching for a tiny livebearer that I had seen in my local pet store, and saw a picture in my search results that looked similar. The picture was for Heterandria formosa: http://www.petfish.net/kb/entry/66/

I later decided that the fish that I saw were probably Endler's, but I was already hooked. ;D

(BTW, that article is not linked to in the Livebearers section. I had to do a google search to find it.)

I think I was looking for betta help and it came up in the search bar. When I was really active here before the move to Germany I would get mistaken as an employee at petco (was telling someone about some kind of small sucker fish and he goes ok bag me 4 :-P ) and I would send people here all the time.

I googled "fish forums" I think & Petfish was the 6th or 7th that I initially bookmarked. Due to the friendly atmosphere & quality of answers, I started checking this first & was the only one I actually posted to. Been here since.
