Jungle Start Right Aquarium Conditioner
« on: July 28, 2011, 04:06:52 PM »
A friend of mine recently got me a little bottle of Jungle's Start Right aquarium conditioner. Since today is the day I finally get around to filling a new tank, I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this product?

It claims to completely remove chlorine and chloramine. It also says it has Allantoin, which is apparently used in cosmetics to protect skin. Which worries me.

You're somewhat right to be worried, an overdose can asphyxiate fish by too thickly coating the gills. It takes about an 8 to 10 times overdose though.
Still, it's one reason I prefer Prime. Detoxifies chlorine, chloramine and ammonia. No slime coat additives or alleged anything else. Doesn't take a bunch to do it either. I like stuff that actually does what it claims without ill effects.

 Prime! Cheaper too, since you don't have to use much.
