Black Moor Goldfish

Hi,

I had no internet for a while and will not have it for a week.  :gloom:  (At another person's house using their internet.)

Anyway, I had many ideas/dreams when I first started going fish crazy. At first I wanted a male Half Moon betta. I went to the petstore and came home with a purple veiltale. Named him Nemo. Then I wanted to breed Nemo. Changed my mind and bought a HM red pair (Betta) from a breeder from montreal. Wanted to breed them. Realized the work and didn't have time and the breeder sent me a green butterfly delta for free along with the HM pair. I had four bettas and realized I couldn't keep so many. So I sold Nemo and the green delta to a nice lady who has them in 30 gallon tanks with other fish. (They are in different tanks...)
I gave the red male hm to my roommate and kept the red female HM that I named Cherry Blossom as my fish pet. I adore her....anyway.....

I then wanted a saltwater aquarium with clownfish. I learned my lesson with the bettas and did my research. Realized it would cause at least $1200 to set one up.  :gloom:

So I have a 30 gallon aquarium that I cycled for a week. Just added a black moor fancy goldfish and will add more fancy goldfish in a few weeks. Will orange and calico fancy goldfish get along with my black moor? I love my black moor, didn't name him yet. I will get pics once my internet works.....
He's very friendly and is not shy of my hands when I feed him. Lately I have been feeding him two bloodworms a day. Had him for a couple of days. He's VERY small. Any tips for feeding?

I have plans to buy a nice 49 gallon aqaurium with a stand and built in filter....nice light wood....very elegant looking at the petstore and add the goldfish to that but have to wait til the summer.

For now I will be happy with my Cherry Blossom and my Black Moor (and other goldfish when I get them).....(I think I might name him Black Beauty  :P)

Have you done any research on goldfish?  The maximum you could have in a 30 gallon is 2 of them, and you're going to have to do alot of water changes. If you get a 40 gallon you could probably have a trio.  Here is some good info:

Are you testing the tank right now for ammonia, NitrIte and NitrAte?  I'm not sure what you mean when you say you cycled your tank for a week.  It's takes about 2 months to cycle a tank unless you've seeded it with bacteria, so I doubt your tank is anywhere near cycled.  Goldfish produce ALOT of waste, so I suggest you test your water daily do water changes as indicated by the tests.  And don't add any more fish till the tests show that the tank is fully cycled.
