Not really a question, just excited to be buying a new food for fishies-something for all.
It's frozen and has four varietys a all veggie mix, blood worms, seafood mix, and something else.
Has anyone tried these>?  I am excited to offer my pictus more variety...just love these boys, and my cichlids will enjoy the veggies. cheeky

Sounds good. I'm sure they'll love it. What brand is it?

Sanfransico Bay Brand.  The pictus gorged themself!  I hate that...I tried to only feed what the occupants could eat.  One pictus was doing circles in the cloud of food like a runaway vaccum! Hmm

Which is one reason to fast them one day a week, helps prevent bloat.

Also if at all possible, 2 to 3 smaller feedings a day is better then 1 big meal.

I was trying to rememeber what fish I had my pictus with as I never really had problems with them hogging the food.

Along with a Trinidad pleco & cories I had a large school of T-Barbs. The barbs were quick enough to grab alot of the sinking food before the pictus got to most of them.

Eventually I swapped out the barbs with rainbows who are just as quick if not quicker & are primarily surface strikers. I then fed mainiy floating pellets which ensured my rainbows got their share of food.

I love your description of the pictus at feeding time as runaway vacuums. So true. so true. lol

Thanks, It was hysterical. I posted a shot in the gallery of some of my fish, the ones of the pictus aren't great, but you can see one in the "castle window" if you look below his face you can see how fat his belly is....I really try to feed small amounts....I went overboard with the frozen cause at first they didn't get any so I added a bit more and they were on it so quick.
Most of the time they only get their fare share.
Made sure they didn't get any today.  Only fed a tiny amonut for the platies and tetras. thumbs up

It's hard to control how much certain fish get and still make sure that other get some too.  Typically I will put some of the food in frozen so it floats for a bit for the top feeders, and also thaw some out so it immediately sinks for the bottom feeders.

I've used the product you mentioned before and it was a hit with everyone.
