Post your new numbers after you get your new tests. They look way off.

might be a few days, but will do.

The female finished having their babies and now the tank looks like a snow globe. Two more to go. Testing the water when michael gets home, need to rule out being color blind, lol. Might also take some water to petsmart and see if they can test it...if the results match up, I'll take out all the water and start again.

gonna change about 50% today, then probably another 50% tomorrow. these numbers are going to work if it's the last thing I do. :D

Yours still don't look right for a cycling tank. You don't need to take the old water out.
Just get a good kit yourself. The normal brand here is API they are accurate and the cheapest to use.

Don't depend on anything being correct from a petshop.

I'm testing my water with API. I follow the instructions completely. Have been out all day today, so tomorrow will be another big water change.

Here's some pictures of the tank today. Got some riccia I have no idea how to plant, and a few (three or four at the most) red cherry shrimp that clung to the riccia. Also somehow got some wisteria(?) with the riccia.

probably more pictures tomorrow.

Wow, i'm sorry about the really really long delay. really long story short, my apartment was broken into and so we started living at my boyfriend (at the time's) apartment. The tank never got around to having a puffer, mostly because my mom accidentally boiled the fish in the tank. This included the two remaining guppies, probably like 20 babies, and this beautiful blue crowntail betta rescue...my mom saw something unplugged, plugged it in, and the next day, the water's warm and the fish are all belly up. Innocent, yet frustrating, mistake. After months of the tank being unused, we took it to Michael's apartment and set it up with several 'starter' fish. This beautiful all white delta tail betta, a couple of flourecent (have no idea what they are) fish and two zebra danios. Really stunning set up, and then Michael and I broke up. Super painful, so the fish tank was surrendered just so I wouldn't have to see him or be reminded of it. A shame, but it's for the best.

For now, the puffer is on hold...but one of these days (weeks..months) there will be another tank in my life. I'm sticking to my 20 gallon long. Thanks for asking though!
