Hi, my male guppy that is in a 20 g tank with about 10 more male guppies is showing something...
I mean, those guppies are always chasing each other, but I noticed that there is one guppy suddenly acting weird. He likes to make a sudden move, like a jump the turn around but with little bit unbalanced head/tummy, looks like dying to me...Sad  I know, they always kinda do this, I  mean when they were being chased by other, they leap a bit the turn around, like attacking the chaser back, but this one is not. He used to but this time, he was not being chased but still doing that and with the head kinda falling makes me worry. He is a pretty one:(  I don't know, maybe it's not a good idea to put all male guppies together in 1 tank. I mean, I like guppy, esp the males, their so colourfull. Maybe just  have all neon/cardinal tetras instead of guppies. I mean, tetras, they're just following each other, but my guppies they chasing kinda mating to each other, make me kinda sick of it too:) Annoying to be true.... btw, is there anyway to help this poor guy? I'm watching him right now, he is still doing that and yeah, he looks like dying ooh well Huh

My sister's guppies all died in that same way, one by one. We were never sure of the cause- it just seemed like weak genes.

Guppys on a commercial scale are horrid.
poor conditions mixed with poor genes = bad fish
I once had about 50 guppys, after a month, I had 14... those 14 then lived for almost 3 years...
with guppys its a 'buy alot to keep a few' situation.

Yeah, maybe most guppies are too related. But this one that I have, I got his mom and his "dad" from different store, and he's about 6 months old.
His mom died 1-2 weeks after birth and his dad had a sudden death too, was fine 1 night the next day didn't see him when fed them, then found him dead:(  The weirdness just hit recently after being put together with all males. Actually I just change water 2-3 days ago.
But I also notice now, he has little bit swollen on the belly, not as much, not like pregnant female, but just fuller than other males, that are flat tummy.

Well, guppies are very active making babies:) but as it is, they are too related, before I can separate which girl which boy, they are mated already among siblings:( Hopefully the rests are healthy...
