My daughter had a pair of aeneus corydoras in a small (3?) tank.  The tank had a ton of algae in it, and we were in the process of getting a larger tank when they laid eggs all over it.  We set up the new tank and moved the parents before the eggs hatched.  Parents are doing well in the new tank, but I'm concerned about the babies in the old tank.  There is a ton of algae as I said, but they seem to enjoy that.  I've tried to siphon up some of the old stuff, only to find smaller fry down in the gravel...so I'm hesitant to bother them.  I'm considering moving the larger fry to a better tank, but am afraid of hurting them.  Which is the lesser risk at this point?  I have a filter in the small tank with panthouse to keep the babies from being sucked up, but no air stone.  I'm feeding them first bites a few times a day as well.

Thanks!

I would think that it is just the tank to raise those fry. Just don't feed them till you see the tank getting cleaner.

If your filter intake is large enough for a cory fry to pass through, find a way to cover it. Either place a sponge over it or replace your filter with a sponge filter. Bronze corydoras get large as they grow so make plans for their future home right now.
