Has anyone ever bred these guys?  I'm pretty positive I have a courting pair but have no idea what to expect out of them.  (oh god, i'll have to remodify the filter intake for itsy bitsys......)

I am barking mad over bichirs

There are a few here that have, among the younger set if I remember right. One of the biggest stumbling blocks seems to be acquiring an actual female except from another breeder, you usually only see males at local fish stores. Locally here in Spokane, only one store ever has females, and the owner says it's hit or miss even for her to get them. They're very plain in comparison to the males.

I definetly have two females, two of them are much plainer than the other 4. I special ordered them from a reliable transshipper rather than hope my local store could get females.
