Hello.

Most people on various forums call me MOA (an acronym for Math-Only Aquarium) and I want you guys to feel free to do the same. I have been studying aquariums dynamics for a few years (alongside my college studies) and wanted to share some of what I have learned with both the new and experienced aquarists out there. To that end I have created a website on which I store most of my data and files so that people can review them. Anyhow, the two things that have taken up most of my time lately are my stocking theories and the dynamics of tank cycling. Since both of these topics are important to new aquarists, I decided to post them here so that people could have a go at them:

Cycling

     Personalized Stocking Spreadsheet: http://sites.google.com/site/moashowmanyfish/extra-downloads/CyclingTheory%281%29.xlsx?attredirects=0

     Tutorials on Cycling: http://sites.google.com/site/moashowmanyfish/tutorials-and-videos

Stocking

     General Website: http://sites.google.com/site/moashowmanyfish/home

     Spreadsheet Stocking Theory: http://sites.google.com/site/moashowmanyfish/home/fishsheeta6-update2

I have not had a chance to read the forum rules yet and thus apologize if posting these links constitutes a breach of those rules. It is not my intent to anger anyone and I never present my material as absolute fact. If anyone disagrees with anything in the above links I would like to know so that I can fix any problems that may exist. The main reason why I post on so many forums is that I want feedback; I want to see what people have to say and hear about their experiences.

lastly, I hope this information does help out any new aquarists that may see it. All the info is accurate as far as I can tell, but I will not say that my research and data constitute absolute fact. I want new aquarists to take a look at what I have to say, but I also want them to look at other sources and compare notes. For example, my stocking spreadsheet usually indicates that big fish require very large tanks--not everyone agrees with me on this point. I do not mind people contradicting me. I just want people to take a look and add it to what they already know.

Thanks,
MOA
