how much time do I have

alright guys how much time do you think I have to save up money to get another 55 gallon tank for my little fish friends I think I could keep my 2 catfish in one 55g tank and 1 cat fish and my tigerbarbs in another one right now they are like 2-3inches. how fast do they grow up? becuase i do got a spare 55g tank I just need a hood for the fish right now im using it for my lizard but i could go out and get him a 30g for cheap if need be and get the other 55g setup and cycled. do you think i shouldnt even worry untill they get to be like 6 inches or so? but iv never owed a catfish before dont know how fast they growup just now they live for a good long time.

Catfishes do grow quite quickly, up to a few inches half a year if properly kept. I suppose you are talking about pictus cats? They will stay under 5 inches though. If you keep plecostomus, you will be amazed by the speed they grow.

thank goodness got plenty of time before I even have to worry gives me quiet some time, i was really worried oh do you know anything about how fast a silver tipped catfish grows?? I got one of them and 2 pictus

Silver tip catfishes grow to 24 inches about 2-3 inches per year if given the space. They do require some bit of salt when they are mature.

dang thats one heck of a cat 0.0 man I cant wait to see him that big!!! if only they made a safe miracle grow for fish x.x man id love to see a catfish that big in a fish tank id be afraid to move him lol id be all like errr catfish and tank for sell lol in fact i bet my cat would stop playing with my fish tank if he saw a fish that big
