Hahaha, I think my snail troubles are over... I've been reading up on assassin snails lately, and I think they might just be the solution to all my snail problems. Apparently they are predatory to all snails but each other, and won't touch anything (besides a snail) that isn't dead. Once they are out of snails, they will eat pellets (which I feed my entire tank with), sift through detritus (great for deep gravel beds...

), and be an overall great clean-up crew. They aren't hermephroditic like other snails, and even with a male and female mating they only lay about 1 egg a month, and the only thing they won't eat is algae, (not a problem in my densely-planted tank.) At first all of this seemed too good to be true, but there doesn't seem to be any contradictory info on the internet. Does anyone here have any experience with these little creatures? They're a little pricey, but I'm seriously considering getting some on aquabid.
