Life is full of stuff that can't be explained.

Does anyone know much about these Bettas?  I just got one and if anyone has any info or tips, I would appreciate it.  Here is Troy.  The color is off.  He is more brown and the patch is blue, not green.

Thanks, Sandypup.  He stays very still a lot but seems to be perfectly healthy.  LFS had him, I saw him and well, here he is!  I hope to get a better pic of him.  I do know they can only mate with female brownorum and come from Matang where they are becoming rare!  He's a cutie!  kf

How much did he cost?
I wish stores around here sold wilds, but unfortunately there's not many stores around here that sell cool fish.  Tongue

He was $10 at a LFS that is not a chain.  I went in to get a female and the guy showed me Troy cuz he knows how much I love Bettas.  So I got my new female ($4.29) and the brownorum.  This place is really cool.  They have a lot of saltwater fish like the clownfish and "Dorrie" from Nemo.  The guy at the LFS did say that Meijer is selling some of the roundtail fighters as females.  I knew that because my Suzy is actually a male!  I'll try to take a better pic of Troy because he is prettier than he looks in the pic.   kf wave

Meijer does tend to have the roundtails as females. My "roundtail" actually has blossomed into a Delta and his fins still seem to be growing. 0__0

I guess you never know!  I bought what I hope is a female from Meijer 2 weeks ago and named her Sheila.  I saw bubblenest the other day!  Shelia sure looks like my female Chloe.  I guess time will tell!  I sometimes buy from WalMart but lately they are more dead than alive which makes me very angry.    curse smile  kf
