35 gallon. Planted with some mossball, and that big ol' Madagascar Lace plant. One Gourami, 6 Kuhlis, and an African Filter shrimp (Cameroon Armoured Shrimp, atya gabonensis, etc. etc.)
Water is slightly hard, PH is 7.6. Current is moderate; powerhead filter. That's driftwood on the left.

Questions.
1. Will the Gourami bother/be bothered by the Rainbowfish? Will the Rainbowfish try to eat the shrimp?
2. How many Rainbowfish would you recommend for this setup?
3. Any other particular plants you think would look good with it? Or better yet, which plants help the Rainbowfish the most, or would entice my shrimp/Kuhlis to come out the most by adding more cover/ground cover?

EDIT: Forget it, I've got 3 Irian Rainbows. Am I out of space? I'd like to add more Rainbows, but different kinds of the smaller ones.

You've got a nice balance there. Personally, that's where I'd leave it.

Thanks, I was going to leave it at that but I had one rainbow that was refusing to eat and three days later die. I'm considering getting two smaller Rainbows to add to the number of fish, but perhaps I'll just replace the Irian. What do you think?

Ha, I'd get another armoured shrimp but crustaceans are my thing so I don't know. Rainbows have always done fine in my rigs. They get along with most things but seem to like a lot of aeration and are a bit more prone to sickness than others, I'd recommend a pleco for any community tank that size though.

I wondered why I didn't answer this until I saw the date. That was "buried by new job" time. It's really a matter of personal choice, either option sounds workable.
