Getting some pygmy cory's for my 29 gallon tank this weekend, question is will a spotted raphael damage these little guys?  I'm making the 29 into a minature fish tank, getting about 12-15 pygmy cory's this weekend for .99 cents each---want to get some pygmy gourami's (sparkling) some day also to put into the tank, I may pick up a mess of ghost shrimp and/or some dwarf platy's also if they have any to go into the tank, they only get about an inch or so.  Also I thought about the dwarf chain loaches for my 29 gallon but I'm not sure if the tank is big enough for pygmy cory's and dwarf chain loaches.  Thought about the otto's but I've not much luck with these little guys, but if I find some nice healthy ones I may pick up 5 or 6--they are also .99 cents each.

My main concern though is the Raphael, I've had him for almost a year, never see him out---just his tail wagging and see him turn around after the lights have gone on---he/she is always attached to the piece of driftwood and I've never seen any aggression with him.  I've read though that they will eat fish that are real small so you see my concerns.  I have a 55 that he would be most happy in if he would be to aggressive.

Picked up 14 pygmy cory's yesterday at THAT FISH PLACE//THAT PET PLACE in Lancaster Pa., it's about 2.5 hrs. away so I took my 6 and 9 yr. old daughters with me to spend the day with them.  The kids enjoyed the pool that had small sting rays in it that you can touch and enjoyed petting dogs, my oldest Rachelle said they were able to pet 16 dogs in the 3 hr. period which is O.K. but knowing she's allergic to them kind of stresses me out, but funny thing is she didn't break out or swell up at all so who knows?
Like I said I was able to bring home 14 of the guys, they have a black stripe down the side and are only about 3/4 inch long at the max.  Also was able to bring home 4 True Siamese Algae Eaters, they have a black stripe from the tip of the nose all the way to the very end of the center of the tail.  The manager said they get these in all the time but go as fast as they get them, these are only about 1 1/4 inch in length and cost me 3.99 each.  Along with these I bought one 3.99 cherry shrimp (female) that is full of eggs the manager said she would be great for eating algae in the 29 gallon with the cory's.
The 14 pygmy's .99 each, SAE's and cherry shrimp are all in the 29 at the present time, the shrimp stays on the silk plant or rock that has algae on it and the funny thing is for me the siamese algae eaters and pygmy cory's school together, except for the size they look almost identical.
I will be heading back in August to pick up another dozen or so of the pygmy's along with some more cherry shrimp.  They also get dwarf chain loaches in very regularly, they are 9.99 each so I am going to save my money until Sept. or Oct. and get 6-8 of them for a good school.

Sounds like you made a real haul!  Is That Fish Place nice?  I'm from the Lancaster area originally, but wasn't into fish back in those days.

I am afraid I will have a similar problem with rams cichlid. From the last time i kept them, they seem to be slightly aggressive and may fight among each other and chase other fishes away. Will they eat up the dwarf cory?
