This is Hades. Sorry for the crummy pics, but I didn't want to bother him too much until he settled down. I got this guy from a girl who used to work at a Petco. Apparently, when he was a baby he managed to escaped from a display case and lived in the store for 6 months. No food. No water. Poor little guy. Somebody in the back office found him one day trapped in a a file drawer. He was injured where the drawer had slammed on him.

The girl took him home and nursed him back to health. He is about three years old and he still has a scar from the injuries. He is an absolute dream! When I went to pick him up, the girl just handed him over to me and he curled around my hand and just sat there while we talked.

I got some more pics today. I admit I was terrified of picking the snake up on my own for the first time, but he was a darling. No problems at all. My sister is actually holding it for me once I got the camera. The last pic is a crummy shot of the scar he got from being slammed in a file cabinet.

She bit me today. I wish I had gotten pics. She grabbed onto the meaty part of my palm and held on for dear life. I had to take her all the way to the sink and run water on her and tap her head to get her to finally let go. Then I had to get the angry girl back in the cage all the way in my room. Good times.

It was pretty cool. It didn't hurt at all and it didn't hardly bleed.

Beautiful snake. I also have a cali king and love him to death. I have yet to be bitten by him and I've had him since June. I've been told they can have a feisty personality.

she's calmed down quite a bit. I think it was mostly the time of the year + the fact that at the time I had a mouse cage set up pretty close to her tank. I realized that even if I washed my hands after touching the rodents that everything in the room probably smelled like them.
