So I have my 10 gallon divided tank with my two lovely betta... but I have just one problem
I only have one filter
I think I want to buy a new one because well... my old one is really disgusting

I was thinking about buying one of those stingray filters, yeah whatever.

But... my problem is of course the filter filters pretty much only one side of the tank, what should I do about the other side?
Should I rotate the filter and keep an air pump on the other side and just switch weekly or what?

I'd make a small divided area in the center for the filter - you have plenty of room in a 10g with 2 bettas to do it.

Be sure to keep some of the old filter media and stuff it into your new filter if you can or you will mess up your biological filter.

That gross pudding looking stuff is actually the colony of good nitrifying bacteria, you do NOT want to get rid of any of it unless it is impeding water flow through your filter(clogging it up).

Bichers are highly addictive. Prehistoric looking, full of attitude, what's not to love?

You might be able to get two small filters for each side to. They are inexpensive, and easy to maintain.
