Just a warning- you want to make sure you check this out before you buy fish, especially since you have goldfish. Tropicals and coldwater (the goldfish) do not mix, it is not healthy for them.

And why is this under Petfish Tech? This is about fish, not the website.  shrug

Look, I understand that i have an over crowded tank. I CANT GET A BIGGER TANK.
I never said anything about overstocking? But since you opened the door... if you understand your tank is overcrowded, and you understand what that means, then you would realize that it is irresponsible to add another fish, however small it may be.

I am kind of confused... when you first came on here, I believe you talked about 3 goldfish and 1 platy (tammi, connor, dori, and bubbles) in your 5 gallon tank.  Then later, you added another platy (Sophie), and one goldfish (Tammi) died.  Now you have 2 goldfish, 2 platys, and one glofish.  To us, it looks like you keep adding fish to your tank, despite the advice you have been given that your tank is seriously overcrowded.

What do you expect us to say when you ask questions about yet another fish?  I'm sorry if we come across as uncaring, mean, and judgemental.  However, we care deeply about the conditions fish are being kept in, and try to educate people about that, both on the board and in the public, when we have the opportunity.

Your age is not what we are focusing on. It is, like RinsMom said, that you appear to be adding more fish despite our advice. When we take the time to help you with something, it kind of bothers us that you might not be returning the favor, and you continue to expect our help. Given our experiences in the hobby, knowing how things can be unclear, we still feel compelled to help you with your fish..

Btw, Shadowtheblacklab said glofish are not strictly tropical.
