You have 2 images of endlers, one indicating new posts in a forum, one indicating no new posts. The only difference is the way they face. The images are both in color so it is difficult to distinguish them from each other.

For the "no new posts" image, could we make that image black and white (grayscale)? The difference between the 2 would be more apparent then.

Probably not.  But the easiest way to check for new posts is to go to the top left corner and click on "show new posts since last visit"  OR "show new replies to YOUR posts" which will take you directly to posts that you've responded to at your last visit.
