That would be great!  I'd like to hear more about it, especially for highly stocked cichlid tanks without plants.  It sounds like a very promising product! thumbs up

In tanks which uses water supply from the tap for water changes, this product definitely is not something I would consider using.

In tanks where water has to be doctored to certain specifics for water changes, this product does seen to give certain advantages and if available to me, will definitely be tried.

Oh, lol!!  But what about the laziness factor?  Sounds like once it's set up you can really cut back on water changes (which also falls in the  "botheration" catagory)!

I wouldn't get one simply cause I don't like seeing equipment in my tank.  But it's sure sounds good.

Oh yeah....good point!    Butt!  I'd be more inclined to keep one tank if I didn't have to do as many water changes! Wink  And I still plan to keep fw shrimp.  Just getting out of "fish" for a bit.  I need those bigger tanks for my new burmese pythons!  rollonfloor

Hello All,

First of all on behalf of Hi-Q, I would like to thank Petfish.net and Aiptasia for participating. The reason we selected Petfish.net to be one of the forums testing the product is because we feel that Petfish.net is a great resource tool to the fish-keeping community.

Interesting.  I have a heavily planted tank that has not had water changes in two months.  My readings are very similar.  How do you think this would work on a non-planted tank?  I'd also like to know your stocking levels?  My tank is filled with roughtly 40 juvie BNs, several dozen shrimp and mass quantities of MTS.  I'd typically not let the tank go this long without water changes, life has intervened and I just got readings on this tank yesterday and was quite surprised, so seeing your readings with this product has made me curious.  My initial thought was that the massive amount of najas and cabomba has done a great job of keeping the nitrates in check.  But I don't know that I'd feel the freedom to miss these water changes without the plants....how do you think this product would perform in a plantless tank under the same conditions?

Lori,

The the lack of plants does not effect the system negatively.

Thanks,

Luke

Lori, How big if your planted tank?
