Right on, that's good to know that there is more work with this type of bacteria that actually works. As far as keeping it cool there was a contract with Marineland that if a retailer was going to carry it they had to buy a mini fridge from the company as well to carry it. After that you just kept it in your fridge if you didn't use it all in the first dose.

I bought a large one when I was using it and used it as I was setting up tanks over a course of a few months and never had any issues.

As far as the shipping I don't know how all the companies where shipping it but I knew of some that were using ice packs and I believe some were even using dry ice to make sure it stayed cool, with the dry ice I would be worried about it freezing though.

I loved Biospira - I hope the new products work or that some to replace it is developed.  I would try the new product but alas i don't have any new tanks to set up.
