I'm having one of those days were I just want to dump all my fish into the ponds instead of keeping them in aquarium. lol I have 2 eggfish that my husband's friend gave to me (I never wanted eggfish, they don't appeal to me) for my birthday a few month ago and I was thinking about letting them go into the pond with the Comets?

If you are talking about the larger bodied goldfish, they usually don't do well in a pond, especially if there is competition. If they are simple fantails they would probably be ok but the larger bodied mutations are not equiped to compete outdoors.

Being slower and less able swimmers, they won't get as much food as the comets and they will be more subject to predation if you have predators about.  They might get bullied by the comets, too.

So I guess its not a good idea? I don't know where to put the eggfish, they are like 6" already and I don't wanna setup a huge 50G tank. How very annoying.
