That is no way, shape or form considered ugly. It does remind me of my local lfs tanks showcasing plants for sale.

Incidentally I have a similar .... outlet block/strip (for lack of a better word) beneath your tank. My monitor is sitting on it. Just a random thought.

Thanks. I had a pretty big plant for aquascaping this tank but it just fell apart.

Yeah I had that a long time ago and I never used it. What u don't see is that there is another tank on top and another tank on the right side. That is just one awesome grid/block and made my life easier.

Thats a really nice tank. how big is it? I really like the dimensions, it looks like it has some nice front to back depth.

Thanks its a 20 gal long. But too me it still seems so ugly. The placement is so wrong. Arghh I'm going to spend many hours again to rescape and retry.

If it wasn't for the other items in the picture such as the power strips to give a contrast in size, one would think it was a larger tank due to the setup. The aquascape does give it an greater illusion of depth as JB mentioned.

Many of my tanks look like that................................... ...... one day I get tired of its look, and having nothing else to do, I re-arrange the plants and add a few stones/bog wood............... presto! a better looking tank.

LoL my fiancee always accuses me of being nit picky, and I just think you're seeing it as ugly because it's not what you had in your head going into it.  But from my point of view, it looks nice!

Thanks guys for your nice comments. The tank is filled with rare plants but I changed a few things and they arn't growing so well. So for the moment I am focusing on just maximizing growth. Lucky in my other tanks, the plants are just fine.
