Any way I am sick of unions and layoff's so I am back to school to earn another piece of paper for my wall.  I have a bachlor's in art (what was I smoking) and a machining cert for cnc's. I know work fulltime and go to school fulltime for my masters in physcology. While trying to do my homework I take care of 3 tanks all freshwater, an ACD (aulstrialian cattle dog), and two cats (dog got lonley)

At the moment, sitting around because the database servers are offline.
My boss tells me the job title is "ERP Analyst".  I've always called myself a Database Application Developer.
Fortunately - it means an office - with a nice little "credenza-y" thing that at times has held my 3 gallon tank - it was a long, thin one that used to be used for Bettas in stores, but I turned it into a guppy tank.  I now have the betta tanks on it.  Having 10 curious and clumsy furries at home, I'm glad to be able to have something alive here!

I live in KY.
Ya, I was in the County that was hardest hit by the Winter Ice Storm.
I was without power for 10 days and lost a majority of my fish :[
EXCEPT! My awesome goldfish! They lived. [I never expected them to die however, I know they are hardy little things]
So...
I work at a local Home Town IGA store.
IGA Express / Keystop Gas station. [Convenient store]
I am a night closer. [I GOT THE STORE KEYS lmao]

fun huh? lmao..
$6.55 an hour. woot. woot. -blinks-

Hi,
wave Im new here..Great info on the blue crawfish....Im a retired police officer. Got hurt on the job 13 yrs ago...I took up medical transcription after that so I could stay home and raise my boys as a single mom...I am getting my things in order to go back to college again to become a vet tech,,this summers starting class is full so I have to wait till next summer to start...Im an animal lover..I have two german shepards now...I just put down my older one last week he was my retirement present to me and my best friend...I love my fish tank..Just bought two blue crawfish and thats how I ended up on this forum great information...And they are a blast..I also have two cats dont really like them but I rescued them, hate to see an animal suffer. They have a great home except the dog likes to chase them..If you see me in public I am the one with the sucker sticker on my head..If an animal is in trouble it ends up with me. Grin

Hi Diane! Welcome to Petfish  wave

I am retired too, but for a different reason - I was growing younger every day. Here I am the youngest member of the Petfish family and now that you too are a member of this pet crazy bunch - make yourself at home. By the way; other than planted tanks, I have a pair of Irish setters, 3 Cocker-spaniels, and a half-breed lab. I love all animals especially the wild ones.
