Yes, the ponds should be deep especially considering it's harder to maintain constant temperatures year round. And water quality, and... everything really. Depends on the climate too. Besides, who wants a 100g pond?  Cool

Just because you can live in a closet doesn't mean you want to. Or should for that matter.

Do you people realize you are talking about a FISH?  This is nuts.  I can buy 12 for $1.00!  I will not spend a fortune to put the FISH into an aquarium and since I'm so inhumane, I think I'll just feed the FISH to the cat and be done with it.

We are taking about pet fish here, not fish you don't care for. Lots of fish get butchered for food, even cat food, so does many other animal we don't care about but I will save my pets from ending that way, would you not?

Many people look at fish keeping and just having a fish tank differently.  We here at Petfish are very passionate about our hobby.  I don't think that you are in the same category of fish keeping as most of us here. You came here looking for advice, and the members and staff gave you the best advice available.  If you choose not to follow it that is your choice.   I don't think there is any need to get angry because we did not give you the advice you wanted to hear.  I'm sorry for that.  If you wish you can contact me via pm to discuss this matter any further.  The thread is locked  as your questions have been answered.
