Essabee, I have a very random question for you- have you ever gone on a collecting trip? As in, one to collect fish? Of course, I know nothing of the fauna in India, so I have no idea whether or not there are any native fish worth having in your tanks.

Way back in the early 60s, most of the fishes I kept were natives. I used to collect them from the streams and lakes around my home town. Wild zebra danios, several types of barbs, loach, shrimps, and a variety of sand eel. I got into plants too which were collected by me.

As I always lived in hilly areas, I never got a chance to collect the low land fishes especially any from the brackish waters.

I would love to go collecting, but my natives don't suit my preferences very well. That's really cool though.
