Yeah I just got my 2 dwarf puffers. My tank finally fit the proper parameters and has stayed there for a month. With all the live plants they look really happy and healthy. so woo hoo for me.

I joined up to that site even though I don't have any DP's *YET!!*. They are very friendly(site and fish :P) and I've enjoyed reading up on them. I won't get 'em for awhile but it's nice to know before hand. They seem like awesome little fish.

Just an edit :

I got my DP's on friday ^^ one died sadly but the others are okay, even fight over their worms.

They're lovely and smart little fish. Plus it's fun to watch them hunt pest snails lol!

hi everyone !
i'm new here. i just recently bought a puffer. i had to add water to the tank today, i made sure the water was warm enough before adding to tank.  afterwards i noticed my puffer floating a the top of the tank. i didn;t know what happened. i added some aquarium salt and a fesw minutes later he/she was back swimming around as usual. does anybody know what happened? was it the water? temp? or what?

Welcome to petfish!

Did you acclimate him/her? Also, DPs will not survive a cycling tank.
Adding aquarium salt to the tank is not recommened for scaleless fish--which is what the DP is.

www.dwarfpuffers.com is an awesome site all about the cuties! =)
