After more attempts than I care to remember, I finally managed to get one of my male betta that's actually in focus.  Now if only he'd been showing off his fins and tail more:

The lil guy still doesn't have an official name, though I've been considering Charlie.  The female in the tank next to his is Rosie (due to her coloration) and I recently watched The African Queen again.

Lovely red betta. VT I assume. That type & color was the 1st betta I owned as a child & the 1st kind I picked up when I got back into the hobby as an adult. Always have a soft spot for those even though I have owned other more fancier types & colors.

this is my new betta, after an unfortunate deployment where i lost my bonsai and all my betta's to someone who told me they would care for them but didnt... i went to the pet store,
Leeroy Blue is his name. my girlfriend named him. the guy said he was a super delta but i thought they were larger.
he was in one of those little cups but his had a crack in it. i went home and set up his tank then went back with my girlfriend. she fell in love with him. he is that light metalic blue. i have never seen a beta that was that color before. i thought he was beautiful.  he doesnt know what to do with his new tank. he has so much room.

"Aura! Bad betta! Leave the kitty alone!"

Isn't Leeroy a beauty!

This is my marble betta, Rorschach:

I told his tale in another thread, but I got him from an LFS that's normally quite good. However, someone had overturned his container and no one had caught it - he was on his side in about half an inch of water. I thought he was dead, but when I picked up the cup and tilted it to look more closely, he started swimming. So he came home with me. His tail had a small piece missing, which has almost grown back, but he tore it on something else about a week ago. I'm not sure how or what. He's being treated with Melafix and it's healing up slowly but surely.

I have a mustard gas male, too, but he wasn't ready for his closeup...
