It is a ten gallon tank.  Each fish has ample room to swim around in and the supplies to devide the tank cost around 5 to 6 bucks vs ten bucks a devider then that would need for from the pet store.  It would have taken 40 bucks to devide that tank into the 4 sections like I did.  I bought ths tuff from walmart and devided it for 6.  That is not counting the tank and hood, and filter cost, but I had the tank and filter.  Then I got the hood from mother in law.  Each section is 4 inches and the last section I bent around the filter area so the fins would not get sucked up into the filter inlet.  It also hides the filter somewhat.

The black strips are poster hangers found in the poster section that I cut down and the mesh is the plastic used in arts and crafts that you normaly use with yarn.  they are like 24 cents each and the poster hangers were 2 dollars for two.  It took 2 sheets and 2 packages of poster hanger.

Are you finding it difficult to get proper flow to the non-filter side of the tank?  My 10 is only divided once and I have this problem.

I don't know.  I just set the tank up last night.  Posted the pictures this morning, but water flow shouldn;t be a problem.  I know it gets good flow into the next stall anyway.  It is a whisper 10-20 gallon inside the tank filter.  The kind you get at walmart.  I had it in a snake cage I have built before I went to the setup I have now.  You don't have to have flow to make sure the ammonia and other things get removed.  Since things in fluid like that move from areas of higher concentration to lower concentration and will get filtered out on the filter side.  The outflow of the water is going from right to left so it should be churning down at the other end.  Just not much.

I have a whisper on mine too (I hate whispers but that's another story).  my concern isn't ammonia removal etc, it's that I get crud build up without the flow the side with the filter gets.  I was just planing on throwing a different filter on there, a Cascade.

I have my filter in the center of my divided tank and I get really good flow.

Here is a pic of my divided 10 gallon. There is a bunch of stuff in the way sorry.

Q: Can you give me some information about hippo racing in Canada ? ( USA )
A:
A-fri-ca is the big triangle shaped continent south of Europe. Ca-na-da is that big country to your North...oh forget it. Sure, the hippo racing is every Tuesday night in Calgary. Come naked.
