The, mts's will eventually multiply like crazy taking over your substrate, they are livebearing snails and when they are born are almost microscopic.  They are very hard if not impossible to get rid of.  I have them but I've just learned to deal with them. :)

they other snails I would definitely get rid of as soon as you see them.  They are a little easier to control.

Will those assassins go after my nerites if I had them? I'd like them to get some of the pond snails but don't think I'd risk my helpers..

Yes, they will go after anything that they can get there hands on (do they have hands? lol) but seriously given oppourtunity they will eat even shrimps. One of the member (gwapa) saw it snag a heathy adult green shrimp right in front of his eyes.

Sorry I didn't answer you earlier  tom e  but I honestly don't know if they'll make snack of your nerites.
But as Brian said anything small and slow enough is most likely fair game. I have personally seen my assassins eating shrimp. I cannot however tell you if the shrimp was already dead or dying. I have witnessed at least 6 Red Cherries, 3 Blue Shrimp AKA Blackberry Shrimp, and about 6 Yellow Shrimp being eaten by the assassins. All in different tanks and all had other snail species in them.
