One of my BIG babies that I got from Dorn!  I can't believe how big he's gotten (note: not sure he's really a "he" not looked that closely yet)

Dorn...which color is this?? I'd thought he was an ivory (looks very white under the tank light), but noticed when I was handling him to take the picture that it almost looks like he's got blue striping??

Yup, females tend to get .... rather dark blue on their spirals.  It's part of their ovary. Of course... I've also seen dark males Tongue  Men.... are so often diffcult.  Have you had any eggs or is this snail all alone in a tank?

If you see a darker stripe the pulls off the spiral into the white part, thats their intestine.  Its dark, but could easily take on a hint of blue if they were feed something green or blue. Cheesy  There is also a darker line (I can see) in the photo that outlines her 'air pocket' or lung.  Just a reflection of where skin meets shell.

She (or he) is awesome.  I'm so glad to see her all grown up. Smiley

She then, and no, no obvious eggs yet, though she's not alone in the tank, the other one in the tank is a bit smaller though, not alot, but a bit, donno if it makes a difference?  Its possible that they just hid the eggs on me too, I'll have to look closely!!  Course the other option is that the betta girls somehow got at the eggs and had themselves a snack lol.

Its possible you just have 2 females in there then.  That snail is PLENTY big to by laying.  They start to mate around 1 inch... or about the size of a quarter. The eggs are laid out of the water... and are very obvious.  You'd see them if they were there.  She also has really healthy shell, many times laying females have flaky or weaker shells.

If they were knocked into the water, the snails and bettas could be having a nice treat.  But I think you just have two girls ... or 2 boys.  You can try sexing them, males are really easy to spot.
