Ya think a female would be better, in general, with guppies than a male?

I have 5 guppies and 1 beta that live very well together.I wasn't sure at first but hubby put him in there anyway...I haven't had any trouble with them at all being together and we have had them for 5 months now.

;Dthis one is the best, u can compare the compatability of 2 kinds of fish or give it a fish and ask for possable tank mates, and provides a profile for all diffrent fish including pH, DH, temps, sizes ect, an extremely helpful page (helped me set up 2 tanks)

I am barking mad over bichirs

One fish that is NOT a "peaceful community" fish is the silvertip tetra. I thought they were neat and a little different and they were billed as peaceful community fish. They are horrific fin nippers with anything not another silvertip. They killed my betta before I took them back.

Bichers are highly addictive. Prehistoric looking, full of attitude, what's not to love?

Thank you I new they were south american , but wasn't sure that I was guessing correctly on the New world cichlids. Wow, These guys ( german Blue Rams, and Apistogramma Agassizi ) only get along with pleco's.  Everything else seems to be they can but with careful watching.  Oh well looks like these will be species only tanks.
