My 110 gal
« on: February 22, 2013, 03:58:43 PM »
Okay so I finally finally got a large tank.  It's a 110 gal and I bought it with income taxes.

Its currently overstocked and I know as things grow I may have to rehome, things

I have as follows

1 6-7" Blood Parrot(female)
2 2-3" Convicts(females)
2 2-3" Green Severms  (believe they are females)
12 2"   Tiger Barbs
1 3-4"  Rainbow Shark
1 Bushy Nose Pleco
8 Bronze Cories.

I should probably ditch the cories.  But its gonna be a b**ch to catch anything.

I have an aquaclear 500 and 300 running.

Below are some overall pics with pics of individual fish to be posted.

Suggestions on a good canister filter for my tank or other suggestions please let me know.

Other than the corys and the pleco - all are vicious.

They will keep the barbs in their place. Even then you would need the corys for your bottom cleaning crew.
If I had to live my life again, what would I avoid?

"Vicious" Lol.  Well they can be nippy but I have purposely put together a large school of tigers to keep them from picking on other fish and most of the time they leave everything else alone.  Honestly when I add new things they can be aggressive, but after a few days they ignore new comers.  (there are times newcomers don't survive the initiation but after the few days if they survive they aren't harassed any further)
The two convicts are most likely girls, which I planned- to avoid extreme aggression during spawning.
I am planning to get rid of the severums as they will put me over my stocking quota as they grow out.
And I do love my tiger barbs.
