I think some of them really do, Demetri was more likely to make a bubblenest in his bowl than he is in his tank, and he was pretty freaked when he first got moved and had so much space.  So, I think there are some who are just accustomed to smaller spaces and need time to adjust to bigger ones.

Not since we came back to school, he's been moping.

Actually, he gave me quite a scare the other night before bed.   He was laying on his side, motionless, using one of the plastic jewels in the tank as a kind of pillow.  Well, I freaked because I thought he was dead, got my net and tried to scoop him up to examine him and the grumpy little dork darts around it, comes up to the top and flares at me!

Little pain, trying to give me a heart attack.

No kidding lol.

Sly is all alone in my room the mirrow doesn't phase him. I haven't seen him flare at all. How does a buddy sound to you guys? Tongue Not with him but next to him. Just another betta to flare at. Good excuse or what, lol.

I'd do it, Bettas really are a lot of fun,  and if they get too flare happy you can just put a piece of paper, or some ther solid surface, between them and *poof* you'll have two fish going "Where he'd go?"

Yeah I used to have a bunch of boys in my room. They all ended up passing away until my sis got Sly. I think I will setup my divided 10 gallon again. It will keep his water warmer much easier and I can get two new guys *hmmm* Hope my Mom lets me. Tongue

LOL my VT male does that with the mirror!!! haha
He gets all nasty at the mirror, even tries biting his own reflection, and as soon as I take the mirror away he darts around thinking 'Where the hell...o did he go!?'
One night I even found him stalking round where I put the mirror up against the tank, darting away and then back again.. lol Probably thinking 'I know he's still around somewhere!'  Roll Eyes
Theyre fun to watch, definitely!
Everytime I walk into the room he gets all excited, and when I look at him he does a lil butt wiggle and dance hahaha..
(Hes probably thinking im going to feed him though.. he's such a pig!  )
