Don't feel bad BlackFish. My betta Beamer, flares at everything he possible can. Yet he jumps and swims away when I open the lid to his tank to go feed him. Then he realizes I have food so I hold my hand over the tank with the pellet in it and he sits with his mouth upwards towards my hand, waiting for me to drop the pellet. He looks like a puppy begging for a treat. Anyways back to the point, my betta is flare happy too, so you aren't alone. Does this possibly mean that they are young or just very aggressive?
