I have three in my 10g with three bettas, and it is a heavily planted tank.
Will otos eat plants? I've noticed holes that seem to be growing on my Moneywort and A. Reineckii. I thought it was pottassium defficience, but it seems to be getting worse, even after adding additional pottassium. I hope they're not eating my plants. Angry They have fresh cuccumber to eat!

Oto's won't eat your plants Jessie. When we first got them, it was because we had some algae growth on our plants. They cleaned the algae off the plants, but didn't touch/eat the leaves.

Yea that's what I thought too. They did eat algea off the leaves, but weren't bothering the leaves themselves. But the past couple of days I noticed some of my plants have holes in them, and someone mentioned on one of the previous pages in this thread that their otos ate their anacharis.
Thanks, butterfly! Smiley

Just a suggestion..if you want to slowly acclimate your Otocinclus..try the drip acclimation technique.

Move the oto's and the original tank water to a small tank or bucket..make sure it's the right size to accomadate the carrying container(usually a bag ) from the LFS.

take some air tubing and tie a loose knot in it..make sure you have enough tubing to run from your tank to the container.  now siphons water from the parent tank to your container..make sure the knot is tied enough to only allow dripping water from it..star with about 60 drops per minute and every 30 minutes double the drip rate.  after the  water i the bucket/container has doubled or tripled you can start adding fish to your tank..watch the first fish for about an hour then if everyting is okay start adding the other fish.
