Depends on how big your tank is?  The tang really needs to be in at least a 75 gal long.

thats about 40 gallons, if my math is correct. copperbands, and tangs, need larger tanks (length especially) than that.

about a year ago we got a copperband butterfly but it lasted 2 days.. we found its corpse in the powerhead Sad cry Angry

Yes they do need larger tanks than a 40.  Butterflies are not very hardy and if the tank isn't established enough then they won't last very long at all.  Most butterflies you can't keep in that size, but you can keep dwarf angels in that size, although they can be just as sensitive as butterflies.
