Origin: Lake Tanganyika
Temperature: 73-77°F - 23-25°C
Ease Of Keeping: Medium, needs lots of space.
Aggressivness: This cichlid can be very territorial.
Adult Size: 3" (7.5cm)
Minimum Tank Size: 10 gallon for a pair.
Feeding: Feed live foods when breeding, otherwise anyfood will work.
Spawning Method: Higher Ph, Warmer Water, Live foods, lots of caves or shells.
Comments: Sexing: Males have brighter colors, females are a darker off white.
These amazing fish can breed in caves or shells.
When a pair forms they will protect each other and their territory against all who interfere.
These fish have very beautiful blue eyes.
When angry or stressed brown or black lines run down their body.
