Comments: One of my favorite cichlids, this little guy is very fun to watch. This Cichlid loves to dig, and will create many "tunnels" under your rocks. This fish cannot co-exist with rooting plants, as it will constantly uproot them, but will do fine with plants such as Anubias. Can hold it's own well with other aggressive Mbuna, but may overpower more docile fish, I would recommend only keeping them with other aggressive Mbuna. A little more sensitive to water quality than other Malawi cichlids. This fish has quite a few morphs - Most will take on the name of the region from where they are found - sometimes distinguished by fins also (i.e. "Cynotilapia Afra Yellow-Dorsal").
